Locally is a stole brand that breathes new life into the traditional techniques of Bishu, Aichi Prefecture. This special oversized stole is crafted using an original Bishu weave developed exclusively for huko.

The most defining feature of this piece is that it is woven on a "Schönherr" shuttle loom, one of only a few remaining in Japan. In contrast to modern, high-efficiency manufacturing, this loom weaves at a deliberate pace—infusing the fabric with air without overstraining the yarn. This patient process results in an incredibly light and soft texture.

The fabric also possesses a unique character created by subtly varying the tension of the fine threads during weaving. As you wear it, the material softens and "grows" with you, allowing you to enjoy a rich, personal patina that evolves over many years.
